Our Story

The Walter Projects began with an unexpected moment of clarity. I was preparing for a commercial assignment, loading my equipment, when I felt the familiar weight of eyes on me. Walter, my constant shadow, followed me from room to room and right out the door. He jumped into the van, and settled confidently on top of my gear, as if he belonged there among the lights and lenses.

There was something poignant about it: the devotion of that single gesture. In that instant, I realized that while I had built a career capturing the essence of global brands, I had never applied that same level of artistry to the one of the subjects who meant the most to me. I thought about the fact that every photo I had of Walter was casual, yet I possessed the tools and the eye to create something far more meaningful: a portrait that honored him with the same precision reserved for luxury campaigns. That realization sparked the creation of The Walter Projects.
